Presentation
Revise my assignment and then use the presentation template (see attached)
Revise each slide you have already completed in the milestone submissions with the feedback you have received from your instructor.
Review the Final Project Rubric. The grading rubrics for the milestones did not have an Exemplary column, so to earn a 100% when the slides are graded using the Final Project Rubric, you will need to make sure you meet the expectations in that column. Go look at the rubric to see how you can earn a 100% on each critical element.
Add the following slides to your final presentation:
Slide 7: Effectiveness (Critical Element V in the Final Project Guidelines and Rubric)
Slide 8: Recommendations (Critical Element VI in the Final Project Guidelines and Rubric)
Slide 10: References
Include clear explanations of all the critical elements in the speaker notes of the presentation slides. If you have not done so already, delete the existing text in the template and replace it with your own.
Milestone 1
I. Describe Artifact: In this slide, Slide 2 (Artifact), you will include a picture of your artifact and provide a brief description of it.
II. Design Decisions: In this section of your presentation, you will analyze your artifact for determining the design decisions that were made when creating
it.
A. Audience: In this slide, Slide 3 (Audience), describe the intended audience of your selected artifact, including social considerations (e.g., race,
age, gender, educational background, economic status, etc.) and cultural considerations (e.g., taboos, values, subject knowledge, etc.) that may
affect how your artifact may be received.
B. Design Elements: In this slide, Slide 4 (Design Decisions), analyze the design elements present in your artifact. For instance, you could consider
aspects such as color, word choices, background, texture, line, font, etc.
Milestone 2
Specifically, the following critical elements must be addressed:
I. Messaging: In this slide, Slide 5 (Messaging), you will identify the intended and unintended messages that are portrayed by your artifact.
A. Intended messages: What are the intended messages that the artifact is trying to convey? In responding to this question, consider the
persuasive concepts that were used, why they were used, and the intended meanings and emotions portrayed. Include the features of your
artifact contributing to the message.
B. Unintended messages: What are the unintended messages conveyed by the artifact? Support your reasoning with examples from features of
your artifact contributing to the message.
II. Bias and Perception: In this slide, Slide 6 (Bias and Perception), you will describe the role bias plays in your artifact.
A. Explain the influence of corporate bias on the message. What are the corporate biases present in your artifact? How do these biases influence
the way the intended and unintended messages are presented?
B. Based on the social and cultural considerations you identified for your audience, identify possible perceptions the audience could bring to
viewing the artifact.
Milestone 3
I. Consumption and Production of Media: In this slide, Slide 9 (Consumption and Production of Media), you will reflect on your role as a consumer and
producer of media and determine the extent to which it influences the perception of an artifact.
A. Create a graphic that illustrates the relationship between creators and consumers of media artifacts.
B. Provide an explanation of the graphic you created representing the relationship between creators and consumers of media. How does the
blurred line between consumption and creation of an artifact impact messaging and interpretation of media?
C. Reflect on your own role as a consumer and producer of media. How do you participate in the consumption and creation of media?
