Each student will write a short paper on a research topic covered in the course. The suggested length of the mini paper will be about 3-4 pages, double spaced. You are encouraged to browse business related academic journals, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, and Washington Post to identify possible topics (a sample of papers is available on Blackboard).    
Your paper should be structured as follows: (a) what is the topic/issue you are writing about? (b) why is this topic important? (c) how does this topic relate to the course? (d) what does your analysis and findings reveal? (e) summary/conclusions. This assignment is worth 30% of the course grade.
