In your comparison, you will describe whether the country uses civil law or common law (or another tradition), how courts are organized, whether cases can be appealed, the training of the legal actors (judges and attorneys), whether there are juries and any other notable features. You need to document your sources and you should rely on sources other than Wikipedia. I expect that your paper should be between 5-7 pages (double speed). I will assign grades based on the quality of thinking, organization, presentation and writing.  Please include a complete reference section. You will lose 10% of your grade for each day the paper is late.

Analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the arguments presented.. are these cases similar? what are the major differences? conclude with your critical observations.

It is expected that your review will (1) summarize the main points of theories covered in the module;  (2) determine whether there is sufficient evidence to support core  contentions (thesis) in the cases of West Bank and Aceh; (3) analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the argumen

Broken windows theory: The authors of the textbook state a successful strategy for preventing vandalism is to fix the problems when they are small. For example, repair a broken window within a short time and the predicted result is that vandals are less likely to break more windows or do further damage. The above theory makes two major claims. First, that future petty crime and low-level anti-social behavior will be deterred and second claim that major crime will be prevented. Criticism of the theory has tended to f

Intimate Link of Domestic and Foreign Policies

Domestic and foreign policy are intimately intertwined. At no time is this more clear than in periods of prolonged war. Prominent individuals from the authors of the Anti-Federalist and Federalist Papers to Benjamin Franklin and George Washington on up to Randolph Bourne early in the last century to contemporaries like Robert Higgs and Ron Paul have understood this well, warning against the dangers particularly to a republic of standing armies, entangling alliances, and imperial adventurism abroad. Draw upon your required reading and viewing material to explain the nature of such dangers (i.e., their consequences). Where does the United States stand with regard to such dangers today? Do you think the fears of these men are legitimate, even timeless? Or do they stem from quaint, outmoded notions that have no place in this day and age?
