Minimum length of analysis is 1 page double spaced, or half page single spaced. Type it first in a word document for reference. Then, copy and paste. Formatting standards: 12 point font, times new roman, double spaced ( if 1 full page in word) otherwise single spaced (equivalent to half page in word).

What is a constitution? What is its purpose?
Discuss in your paper the similarities (in the format and arrangement, structure of governmental offices, for example) and the differences (length of the documents, specificity, # of amendments, and so on) between these two documents.
When was each constitution proposed and where? When was each ratified, how, and by whom?
Next, find the processes by which Florida's Constitution can be amended. How many ways exist by which Florida's Constitution can be amended? List and describe each way.
Then, research online to find one proposed amendment to the Florida Constitution which will be on the ballot in Florida this year (2020). Describe, in your own words, what it would do if approved by voters.
Finally, provide your own informed opinion: Do most changes to our state law belong in the Florida
Pretend that you are explaining the U.S. political system to someone from another country who has no existing knowledge of our government. Describe the U.S. political system in 12-15 minutes. Describe the role of citizens (including popular sovereignty, voting rights, and civil liberties).

I am not asking you to summarize Cass Sunstein's arguments. Instead, I am asking you to read his work, reflect on social media, and then to formulate your own responses.
The general public displays a limited amount of political knowledge, especially high levels of political knowledge. Low levels of political knowledge persist in spite of advances in technology and the wide availability of information. Furthermore, factors like question phrasing or the timing of polls contribute to the seeming inconsistency or instability of public opinion polling.
With this in mind, what are some of the advantages and disadvantages of using public opinion polling? How should the United States balance public opinion against representatives judgment? Should the public be upset when public officials fail to adopt policies that are consistent with public opinion? How do we determine the proper balance between responding to and ignoring public opinion? Do you believe that the public is ignorant or collectively wise?
