Violations of the First Amendment

This is what I told my professor about my paper:
The topic I am choosing for my paper is Free Speech, but more specifically
violations of free speech. The points I plan to bring up in my paper are: how public
schools practices and punishments conflict with the first amendment, employee
mistreatment and wrongful termination, police violence towards protestors. My counterargument will talk about how the guilty parties justify
their actions against the amendment; talking about questions when it comes to age and
position.

Biases

In a one- to two-page paper, consider the people and experiences that have shaped how you see yourself, how you see life, and, most importantly, how they have shaped your biases.

-List and then describe a minimum of three things that is believed to be true, such as the existence of God, right vs. wrong, morality, and what it means to be a good person.  Who are you? What do you believe? What cognitive biases do you have? These are big questions to answer, but necessary to consider before moving forward in professional life

-Explain, in detail, how these beliefs are acquired (including the other people or experiences that have been an influenced), why these beliefs are important and how these beliefs will influence how to engage with people and policies in a future career. Do not simply say something like, I believe in doing the right thing because it is the right thing. You must really dig deep into your psyche and analyze your own perspective of the world; make your

What is it to be ethical?

What is it to be ethical?  Does Epicurus give a sufficient account of being moral, or must more be added?  [What we call ethics are here defined as being the same thing as morality, the subject Ethics, the same as Moral Philosophy, etc.  Students are to avoid ruminations on differences between ethical and moral, etc., and get to the actual topic assigned. Avoid outside research that takes you to hazy ruminations on the meaning of 'ethics' or 'morals,' and just get down to offering a specific ethical theory in the manner of Socrates, Epicurus, Kant, or other figures in the course. Make sure you have a strong thesis statement. Place your thesis statement in the first paragraph of your paper.  I advise, making it the first sentence.  Use 'and,' commands and semi-colons, etc., to fit all the thesis ideas into one, grammatical-sentence. ethics of care

For this paper, you want to reflect on the reading and associated materials.  It's fine to start with a summary, but you want to go beyond this to say what you think about ideas in the reading and associated materials and why.  You could talk about points that you think are interesting and why you think they're interesting, raise questions about the material and indicate what you think about these questions, pick out points you agree with or don't agree with and explain why, or talk about things that you've come across (articles, movies, podcasts, books, etc.) or experiences that you have had that help you to think about the reading and how.  Basically, you want to show not only that you have understood the reading, but also that you are able to reflect thoughtfully on it.
