1. Introduction: Your introduction introduces the problem, raises your level-3 question, and announces your argument. It needs to be at least a paragraph and include the thesis. The question being answered by your papers argument needs to be clearly stated, either as an explicit question or a very clearly implied one. Include the following elements in whatever order works best for the flow of your argument:
-Frame the problem in an interesting way that shows its significance
-Introduce texts and/or traditions you will be analyzing
-Pose a level 3 question--the issue your essay will address
-Answer your question with a thesis
2. Thesis: The thesis answers the level 3 question you ask in your introduction and lays out the structure of your argument, creating the readers expectations for what is to come in the essay:
Acknowledges an alternative view of the subjectthe opposition (an although point)
Refers to the subject of the question
Makes an assertion ab
Investigating the Green House Effect
You are a citizen concerned about the greenhouse effect and decide to do some research about the issue. You come across a great website that has a simulation on just this topic. Once you have run some simulations and made some observations you become more than concerned, you are downright outraged! The next step is to write a letter to the editor detailing your concern and using what you have learned as evidence in support of your position.
1. Go to http://phet.colorado.edu/en/simulation/greenhouse
2. Open up The Greenhouse Effect and explore all of its features.
3. Write down your observations of what happens during the three featured time periods: Today, 1750 and Ice Age.
4. Change the number of clouds for each time period and write down your observations.
5. Scientists predict CO2 levels to increase to 490 1260 ppm
Formulate an organized, clearly worded, and succinct initial post that substantively covers all discussion points stated for your chosen topic. Because your initial post will be scored on the degree to which you meet these standards, there is no set minimum word requirement. However, there is a set maximum word requirement confine your initial post to 500 words. Remember that we are all reading each others posts, and one that is succinctly written is more likely to be read and responded to, thus furthering our discussion on that topic.
Include at least one graphic, video, or image that visually adds to some aspect of your post - as they say, pictures are worth 1000 words!
Using A DIFFERENCE SCIENCE SOURCE, answer the question posed: DO NOT USE THE SAME SOURCE I LINKED, it is what the writer used to ask the questions.

"Shrub Steppe: Threatened and Endangered Species"
Pygmy rabbits are in areas with limited habitat that is crucial to their productivity and success. With that being said, in your opinion, what would you propose to do to mitigate/ manage for wildfire occurrence while protecting these endangered species?
The reading reflections will consist of one-two-page analytical reflections over specific assigned texts of your choosing from five different class meetings. These assignments should develop a critical analytical reflection on a key argument or problem in the text. You do not need to advance an explicit thesis or conclusion in these assignments, and you should not simply summarize the readings, but rather critically explore specific claims or arguments made in the readings.

Assignment: Promising Worlds in our Solar System
There are two promising worlds within our solar system that have garnered enough attention and serious considerations are planned to explore them.
Make an argument for why Europa and Mars are seen as the most important places to explore in our solar system for potential signs of past or living life. Explain what conditions make the world potentially habitable. Your next assignments (in session 4 and 5) will focus on the types of lifeforms that may be found there and missions planned to explore these worlds, so focus this assignment on the characteristics of the location itself that make it scientifically interesting.
Your assignment should be about 500 words in length and should highlight the features of each world that provide evidence of past or potential life. The more pertinent information you provide in a coherent, logical, scientific argument the stronger your grade. Your work must be in your
