Blackbody Spectrum Lab

Title Page

Introduction (30 Points)

Describe the concepts discussed in the introduction of the lab manual.
How do these concepts relate to the lab?
Why are they important?  How did their discovery progress the field of astrophysics?
Must be at least two pages (1000 words) and have at least three outside references to give additional information on the topics.  These have to be academic resources, or at the minimum recognized publications.  Some examples include textbooks, university educational pages (.edu with a recognized institution), scholarly reviews (be careful these get complicated quickly), Astronomy magazine, Scientific American, New Scientist etc. Random websites not affiliated with a recognized institution or publication will not be accepted.
Figure (20 Points)

Include an image of each spectrum that you analyzed.  This will include the Sun, Sirius A, a star at 8000k, Earth, and a light bulb.
Should be clear and legible

Discussion and extension questions

1)explain the difference between background extinction and mass extinction.

2)Why did the researchers use bivalves as the subject of their research?

3)Do the data that Krug and Jablonski used to analyze origination rates show mass extinctions directly or indirectly? Explain your answer.

4)In your own words, summarize the findings of Krug and Jablonski's analyses.

5)Advanced: Do you think an adaptive radiation is more likely to occur after an event in which many lineages go extinction or after an event in which only a few lineages go extinct or would it make a difference? Explain your reasoning

organic chemistry

Now, at this point in this course, we have already studied a variety of organic compounds and their reactions. It is important, as an organic chemist, that you are able to model organic compounds, and then study the reactions through molecular modelling. Therefore, for this assignment, you are asked to write an essay about molecular modelling, including its uses and applications. You must also use a freely available modelling software from the internet and include the details of the modelling you followed, and give examples of at least three molecular models you accordingly developed. Be sure to include references to support your arguments.

Submission:

Must be a minimum of 1500 words (within the paper) with standard 1-inch margins in standard font.
Must be double-spaced.
Must address the topic of the paper with critical thought.
Must include in-text citations and references in APA style for at least 5 references.
Upload as a .doc or .docx.
Please remember

The Impact of Mercury on the Environment

Hey, I order a paper from you, but I need some correction on the paper as I got a comment from my professor.
am attaching the cases that you wrote, and my professor commented that "The case study should described in details including the introduction,  methodology,  results and discussion" what we wrote is a general one
he still need each case within 1 and 1 and half page. can you help me fixing it rapidly

Social Perspectives on the Regulation of the International Trade in Archaeological Objects such as Greece and iran

it should be typed, be at
least 10 pages long (not including a cover page), and must cite at least eight (8) scholarly
reference, I found some but you can add by ur own if u find them good I uploaded the file. my professor said "USE THIS GENERAL ORGANIZATION AND USE HEADINGS (like are used in this
syllabus!)
1. On a cover sheet, list the title of the paper, your name, and the name of the class.
2. Provide an Introduction that explains what the subject of the paper.
3. Provide a brief background of who thinks what and why.
4. Discuss the major elements of the paper in some detail.
5. Provide a conclusion and make any appropriate suggestions for further study.
6. List your references.

Data Types

Go to Esris In the News section and review the GIS news articles available in the discipline of your choice. Examine the types of data being utilized for the project in your article. Why was the type of data (raster or vector) assigned to the data sets appropriate for your selected project? Provide evidence to support your rationale.

Microbes

Answer all the questions and fill in the blank. Use the slides I attached.
1. What type of diseases can gene therapy treat? How are viruses involved in this therapy?
2.What type of diseases can phage therapy treat? How are viruses involved?
3.Viral genomes are tiny compared with those of living organisms.  How can they have more variety than the genomes of living organisms?
4.Name all the structures of an enveloped virus (such as the HIV virus).
5.The primary virus classification method is based on _______.
6.Why is capsid an essential structure for a virus virulence?
7.What is a prophage? Does lysogenic conversion benefits the virus or the host cell?
8.The structure of an enveloped virus responsible for host specificity is _________.
9.The three mechanisms of viral latency in animals are _______ , _______ is responsible for the viral genes the human genome.
10.Enveloped animal viruses can enter the host cell through _______  and exit through __

Science Living with Microbes

I have attached a document called "Project 2" this includes instruction on how the essay should be performed.
The other attachment is called "how to write scientific names and what do they mean" and will help you write scientific names.
If you have any questions please let me know.

Science Living with Microbes

Use the slides to answer these two questions in paragraph form:
1. Use Google to find a virus that infects turkeys.  Is this virus a DNA virus or RNA virus?  Is it single stranded or double stranded?  Does it have an envelope?  How is it transmitted?  Besides turkey, what other animals can this virus attack?
2. For the virus you find above, does it go through lytic cycle or lysogenetic cycle?  What is the reasoning for your answer?  What are the steps of its replication (refer to this week's slides)?  What are the possible ways for that virus to enter and exit cells of a pig (please reason based on info from this week's slides)?  If you raise turkeys on a farm, how would you treat your infected birds and protect the uninfected?  How can you disinfect your facility effectively without spending much money?

Any topic (writer’s choice)

Cleaner Production and Green Chemistry

Write some pages paper on the dual topics of "Cleaner Production" and "Green Chemistry."  Cleaner production is the term used by the United Nations to describe what is sometimes referred to in the US as Environmental Audits.  Research "cleaner production" and then discuss what it is, how is it used, who is using it. Discuss three examples of the application of Cleaner Production techniques and how successful this approach has been.

Similarly, research and discuss Green Chemistry.  What is it, where is it used, why is it being used, and discuss three examples of where green chemistry has been successfully used.  What difference did it make?
