Leadership Ethics and Diversity in Education

Students in integrated classrooms are more likely to have higher test scores, better problem solving skills, and are more likely to go to college due to several factors. Teachers who run integrated classrooms have a solid grasp of ethical and authentic leadership. According to Northouse (2019), the five principles of ethical leadership are respect, service, justice, honesty and community (p. 346). When teachers exhibit these five values in their words and actions, students benefit. Northouse (2019) continues, followers can feel competent about their work when a leader shows respect. When students see teachers being respectful in the classroom, students confidence levels can be boosted, raising test scores. Students also feel more comfortable and engaged in classrooms where they feel their thoughts and ideas are respected, leading to better problem solving skills. Leadership Ethics and Diversity in Education

1) I think that students perform better in integrated classrooms because, as the article states, integrated classrooms "encourage critical thinking, problem solving, and creativity". Critical thinking skills are a crucial part of applying knowledge. Many of the standardized tests that students take try to assess their critical thinking skills. The article also mentions that students from an integrated classroom have higher self-confidence in their academic abilities, which may encourage attending college.

2) The benefits of an integrated classroom are numerous. As previously mentioned, academic benefits are present. The article mentions that Stanford's Center for Educational Policy Analysis confirms that integrated classrooms close the racial achievement gap better than most other po

Portuguese slavers were able to purchase Kongolese captives through internal conflict among peoples; seeking wealth and the ability to gain a foothold in Atlantic trade, many inhabitants of Kongo would abduct their own kinsmen, falsifying their backgrounds, to sell to white invaders. They were then branded like cattle, an incredibly degrading act intended to mark individuals sold as property. Attempts to restore those wrongfully kidnapped to freedom would be met with resistance by the white slavers, who claimed that they had fairly purchased the captives. The Kongolese king, Afonso I, wrote a letter to the mona

In recent years, with the ready availability of online consumer reviews, consumers have increasingly resorted to online reviews for information and decision support. In fact, according to Forrester Research, more than 80 percent of online consumers consult others reviews when making purchasing decisions. Online consumer reviews have become a major assistive mechanism for consumer decision support. Travel purchases such as hotel booking and restaurant selection are such products where consumers increasingly resort to online reviews for information.

Meanwhile travelers are increasingly willing to share online their views of and experiences with tourism and hospitality services. With an increasingly large amount of consumer generated information available, one potential challenge is information overload and information trustworthiness on the part of the consumers as these e-WOMs are essentially generated by strangers, albeit fellow travelers. Consumers spend a large amount of time
