Portfolio Management – Nestle

Requirements:

*Using the stock NESTLE (NSRGY) – Create 20 Slides involving each other the numbers provided below. Follow the sample that has been uploaded in the attachments.
*The excel file has been uploaded to utilized for slide 2 and slide 20.

1. Each group of students is expected to manage a portfolio of $ 3 million by investing in a selected group of 6 stocks, one stock per Industry. (one stock/ company per student). Stocks should be traded on the New York Stock Exchange.  At least 1 stock should be traded on the NASDAQ.

2. A group presentation of the portfolio management process is required according to the Syllabus & Schedule. Business attire required.

3. Investment results and portfolio performance evaluation utilizing the Jensen Approach to 11/9/2020

4. The grade associate with this project will be based on the following criteria: Investment philosophy, approach in stock selection, quality of the presentation, and investment performance.

The evaluation of the investment performance will be for the following period:  08/24/2020 to 11/09/2020.
   
The analysis and presentation of each stock must include the following (the presentation should be in PowerPoint format), in the following order:

1). Investment policy / portfolio strategy.    9
2). Stock selection criteria.  The reasons why this stock was selected. (3 reasons minimum).    9
3). A description of each company and its products / services. (e.g. brief history, current CEO, current CFO, etc.).    9
4). Companys Business Strategy and Company Financial Strength (comparison with leaders in companys same industry.  Name the industry.  Name the leaders.)    9
5). Graphs: Assets (last 3 years), Revenues (Sales) (last 3 years), Net Income (last 3 years).  Accompany by: Financial Statements; Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Cash Flow, etc.     9
6). Financial Ratio Analysis: Liquidity Ratios (current, quick); Asset Management Ratios (total assets turnover, fixed assets turnover, days sales outstanding, inventory turnover); Debt Management Ratios (debt-to assets, times-interest-earned); Profitability Ratios (profit margin on sales, basic earning power, return on total assets, return on common equity), Market Value Ratios (price/earnings, market/book). All ratios should be compared to the Industry Average.  Define what each ratio means for the company.  Include all calculations of Financial Ratios and Appraised Values.    9
   
7). Projected Earnings, Cash Flow and Dividends (next 3 -5 years).  (State source.)    9
8). Valuation Analysis; the companys stock price compare to: Expected Rate of Return, Required Return and Intrinsic Value.  Accompany by:  all calculations.    9
9). Weekly on-time submission of stocks performance (Fridays no later than 10 pm).  Late submissions will receive 0 points for that week.  Submission should be in Excel file format.  Excel file name shall be:  Fin350_Group#_stocks performance.  Files not conforming to this naming convention will be deleted.    9
10). Discussions and conclusions directed to the possible customers / clients of your Financial / Investment Company.  Why should they invest in your portfolio?    9
11). Be present for all group presentations.  You will be awarded 2 points for each presentation you attend (10 points maximum).    10
                                            Total Points:  100

12). Come up with a Portfolio Management Company name that makes your Group Project stand out from the others. The name of your Group should reflect the Universitys policy of diversity, and should not be derogatory to any ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation. The name of your Group should not include Johnson and / or Eva. The catchiest name will earn 3 points (extra credit).
