Use the following questions as guidelines but feel free to answer any other question that you have in mind.

What did you think of the films in terms of their narrative presentation? How do the apply to the course? Did you find the readings helpful in constructing your critiques? What is the takeway for you after having watched Arranged and Orientalism? Have your perceptions changed about Judaism and Islam? What does Arranged have to say about the institutions of family and marriage in a cross-cultural context? Are some cultural values universal in nature and do they find representation in Arranged?

What was the image of the Orient in your mind before you watched Said’s Orientalism? How does Orientalist imagery get reinforced in our minds and how does it lead to Islamophobia? Do you think Arabs and Muslims are grossly misunderstood? What did you think of the way Said presented his ideas on Orientalism?
