A 4-5 page paper analyzing your media and the changes you made including:
-short description of a the media
– analysis of the media using class theories, concepts, and readings. What social norm(s) about gender or sexuality does each element reinforce? How do these norms create or support prejudice or inequality? You MUST draw on at least 3 different course readings in your analysis. These readings can come from Delusions of Gender by Cordelia Fine, Killing the Black Body by Dorothy Roberts, Gender Bodies 2nd edition by Judith Lorber & Lisa Jean Moore, or When sex goes to school by Kristin Luker. You should use these readings to define terms, support your analysis, and build an argument about why, how, and to what end your chosen media reinforces gender and sexual inequality and prejudice.
-Finally, a description of how you rewrote the media, How did your rewrite specifically address each of the issues you identified? Why did you make the specific changes you did? How might these changes affect individuals? Schools? Society?
